So here's me. I'm an artist. And this blog is for my digital painting. I can't say I'm very accomplished in this craft yet, so I'm here to learn. Your critiques and comments would be appreciated. On this blog i will post my artwork, and most of the time step-by-step videos of how i accomplished said art when i can. So! without further ado....here goes!
This is me starting off a portrait project. It's done from a reference picture. It's a celebrity (I won't say who yet). It starts off not really looking like much but a blob, but it gets better! I'll just outline some steps:
1. Fill the background with black
2. Add a new layer
3. Draw some basic construction lines of the head in white
4. Fill in the basic features of the face
5. Set the lineart layer to 30% opacity
6. Create a new layer underneath the lineart
7. Paint the skin with a basic gray color
8. Paint away with a soft edged brush at 40-50% opacity
